South-East APC Just Renamed Wike's "Rainbow Coalition" the "Chameleon Coalition," and Honestly, Fair
South-East APC has entered the group chat, looked at Wike’s Rainbow Coalition, and immediately changed the display name to “Chameleon Coalition.” In a party famous for colour-changing, even the insults now come with internal democracy.

If you thought the Wike-versus-APC-governors drama had reached its final boss, relax, there's a whole new wing joining the chat.
The APC leadership across the South-East, the national vice chairman plus the party chairmen of Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo, all five of them, one joint statement, came out this week to publicly reject Wike's "Rainbow Coalition." Not politely either. They renamed it themselves: the "rainbow (chameleon) coalition." That's not a typo, that's a deliberate insult wrapped in parentheses, and somebody in that meeting was very proud of writing it.
Quick reminder of the backstory: Wike, who is technically still PDP even while serving as FCT Minister under an APC president, has been running around building this coalition that he says exists purely to help Tinubu win in 2027, no promises attached for any other APC candidate. The Progressive Governors' Forum already said no thank you to that arrangement earlier in the week. Now the South-East chapter has joined in, and they didn't come to play nice.
Their statement accused Wike of "insulting, diminishing, and plotting to remove sitting Progressive Governors," called his comments "most unfortunate, reprehensible and completely unacceptable," and closed with the line every workplace argument eventually reaches: no minister should be dictating to governors. That's the political version of "you're not my supervisor."
They also slipped in, almost too casually, that their governors delivered over 25 percent of the presidential vote in the South-East in 2023, which is the political equivalent of bringing up your own performance review in the middle of an unrelated argument, just to make sure everybody remembers you've been putting in work.
Wike, for his part, still insists Tinubu is fully aware of what he's doing. Which, at this point, might be the only thing everyone in this saga actually agrees on.

Toyin Abraham Woke Up on Somebody Else's Campaign List and Had to Publicly Announce "I Did Not Sign Up For This"
Lagos APC appears to have drafted Toyin Abraham into campaign duty with the same consent level as a midnight WhatsApp group add. The actress has now publicly removed herself from the list, though the list itself is behaving like NEPA bill arrears.
