Baba, You Again? Atiku Wants to Rewrite His Own Homework on Tinubu's 2027 Case

Okay, so update from the court wahala files: Atiku and his ADC people have gone back to the judge to say, "Please, sir, let us correct our own paper," in the case where they're trying to stop Baba Tinubu from running again in 2027. Yes, the case is still alive. No, it did not resolve while nobody was watching. It has just been sitting there, quietly adjourned, like that group project nobody wants to touch until the deadline is basically tomorrow.

For the people who dropped out of the group chat: Atiku and ADC filed a suit back in August saying INEC should remove Tinubu and APC from the 2027 list entirely, over an old NYSC certificate wahala from Tinubu's 1999 governorship days. Tinubu and APC have said, categorically, e no be them. Nobody has been proven anything in court yet. It is, as we say here, still "allegedly" season.

Now the plot twist: Atiku's own lawyers have gone back to say, "actually, let us amend our filing," which in regular person language means "we typed something wrong the first time, please allow us to type it better." Tinubu's team, understandably, is not here for the group project revision. Their lawyer stood up and said the amendment is "misconceived" and basically tantamount to submitting a whole new assignment and calling it a correction. INEC and APC also said No, sit down.

The judge said Fine, everybody should come back October 13, and till then, nobody's paper is graded.

Meanwhile, Nigerians are just here watching two grown men who have been contesting each other since garri was cheap, still finding new court dates to see each other in. At this point, forget the 2027 election; just give both men a permanent seat at the Federal High Court, they practically pay rent there already.

October 13 dey come. Bring popcorn, bring patience, bring low expectations. This film has no release date, only adjournments.
