Federal Ministry of Promises Wins Prestigious Award for Most Consistent Government Agency
After decades of delivering premium hope without the burden of delivery, the Federal Ministry of Promises has finally been recognised for its most reliable service: announcing tomorrow before yesterday can ask questions.

In what analysts have described as the least surprising development of the year, the Federal Ministry of Promises has been crowned Nigeria's Most Consistent Government Agency, following decades of unwavering commitment to making ambitious declarations with little regard for earthly limitations such as budgets, timelines, or execution.
The award, presented at the inaugural National Excellence in Expectations Awards, celebrated the ministry's remarkable ability to announce life-changing initiatives every quarter without allowing previous announcements to interrupt future ones.
Receiving the golden megaphone trophy, the Minister of Promises thanked Nigerians for "continuing to believe just long enough for us to make another announcement."
"Consistency is about showing up," the minister said. "And every administration has shown up with fresh promises. That is institutional stability."
According to the judges, the ministry beat stiff competition from agencies responsible for committees, investigations, and inaugurating projects that had already been commissioned by previous governments.
Citizens interviewed across the country admitted they had become emotionally attached to promises despite never meeting one in its adult form.
"I've been promised uninterrupted electricity since secondary school," said a Lagos resident. "My children have now inherited that same promise. It's a family heirloom."
To commemorate the achievement, the ministry unveiled its most ambitious roadmap yet, pledging that by 2035 every Nigerian would have access to uninterrupted hope, world-class optimism, and a state-of-the-art digital portal where citizens can track promises in real time.
Officials clarified that the portal itself is currently at the "promise stage."
Meanwhile, the ministry confirmed it is already preparing next year's acceptance speech, expressing confidence that its greatest strength remains delivering exactly what Nigerians have come to expect: another promise.
